The Marriage And Family Protection Act was brought to Minnesota
lawmakers in March of 2008 by an individual citizen who spent years
protesting for marriage equality at floor sessions of the legislature. The
bill was introduced in the Senate on May 16, 2008 and in the House on
May 17, 2008.
Following this important first step, Marriage Equality Minnesota was
formed to expand the effort to bring marriage equality to same-sex
couples and their families. Please join us.
