| Marriage Equality Minnesota is an all-volunteer association dedicated to establishing full, equal, legal marriage rights for same-gender couples in the state of Minnesota. Marriage Equality Minnesota is advocating for passage of the Marriage and Family Protection Act, a bill that establishes legal marriage for same-gender couples. The bill (SF120 / HF893) has now been introduced in the 2009 session of the Minnesota Legislature. We are now fighting to pass it. |

| Marriage Equality Petition If you are planning to attend a wedding in the coming months, please download and print out several copies of the above-linked petition supporting marriage equality for same-sex couples. Ask the wedding couple if you could display the petition near the guest book so guests can express support for your right to marry too. Send the filled out petitions to Marriage Equality Minnesota and we will get them to the right people. ******************************************************************* The legislative session is over until February of 2010, but you can continue to aid the cause by encouraging friends, family and coworkers to sign up with Marriage Equality Minnesota on the "Contact Us" page of this website. We want to be as strong as possible when moving our legislation next session. Also, when your legislators hold a public meeting or appear at an event, please let them know that you support marriage equality and that you want them to do the same.
